Geothermal Heating System Tour and Dinner 

When:       Thursday May 29, 2008, 5:00 PM

Where:           Western New England College Welcome Center (first building on the right) 1215 Wilbraham Road Springfield, MA                 

WNEC is proud to highlight their “Green” Welcome Center and dormitories at Evergreen Villages which use an innovative geo-thermal heating and cooling system.  We will tour the 30,000 square foot Welcome Center which uses approximately 75 groundwater wells to extract geo-thermal heat to condition the center via geo-thermal exchange units, an environmentally friendly and highly cost efficient system. 

Agenda:

5:00-5:15 PM    Meeting at Welcome Center

5:15-6:00 PM    Tour the mechanical systems of the geo-thermal plant

6:00 PM    Dinner and roundtable at Sophia’s Pizza; 465 Breckwood Blvd., Springfield 

Menu: Pizza and beverage 

Cost:  $15
