Where: Associated Grocers of New England Inc.

Associated Grocers broke ground in January of 2005, and opened their new facility in Pembroke N.H. in March of 2006. This facility consists of state of the art 350, 00 square foot distribution center. This facility consists of muti level racking systems to hold the products for distribution and the latest in design refrigerated areas consisting of; freezer warehousing units, refrigerated units for produce, meats and other cold storage items. The facility is set up with multi loading docks doors for out going shipments and other loading dock units for incoming shipments from suppliers.

The design of this new facility has permitted AGNE to expand and enhance perishable offering. Along with to offer their customer base a full line of products and services that include an inventory of more than 16,000 items and retail support staff in the areas of advertising, marketing, merchandising, accounting, and retail systems. Associated Grocers has an annual sales of approximately $300 million dollars, and staff of 300 plus employees with a six state service area.

This Months Speaker:  Mike Juranty

The Guest speaker Mike Juranty from the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services Underground Storage Tank Division will talk on the regulations regarding underground and above ground, storage tanks. Some of the highlights of will include enforcement, inspections, review of designs for new tank installations, and engineering responsibilities. There will be a question and answer period at the end, so bring your questions!

Route 93 to exit 13 east. You are on Route 3 South (Manchester Street). You will cross the Merrimack River. Continue traveling south. After passing several car dealerships, the road will go down a hill. At the bottom of the hill you should see a small sign on your right marking the Pembroke border with Concord. After climbing the hill on the other side, you will come to a T-intersection with Route 106 (Sheep Davis Road). Continue straight on Route 3 (now called Pembroke Street). The entrance to AG will be about ¼ mile on your right. The total distance from Exit 13 to AG is about 2 miles
